The FQP almost had it's first DX mobile entry. A team of Italians wanted to join the fun by activating dozens of Florida counties. Unfortunately, the antenna couldn't handle the RF generated by their "300W" amplifier. Luckily, no one was hurt in the resulting fire shown in this news photo.
