The FQP has become so popular that it's normal to have several out-of-state contestants travel to Florida to enjoy the contest from the other end of the pileups. Shown here is the vehicle driven by Chris, KL9A. Always quite proud of his contest abilities, he plastered a likeness of himself on the side of his wiener mobile. We really aren't sure why he chose this vehicle. Chris mentions something about "phallic symbolism" but most of us just think he's spent way too much time in the snow. If you weren't active on the first hour, you missed out on the opportunity to work him. He started the contest with a 300/hr on 20m CW, but quickly got bored and quit, choosing to spend the remainder of the contest at Pizza Hut. |
