The FQP has become one of the most popular of the state QSO parties. Much of the success is a direct result of the large number of mobile operators who canvass the state, ensuring every county is activated. Although most out-of-state participants are aware of this activity, often logging dozens of mobile QSOs during the contest period, for the most part they have no idea at the logistics of pulling the effort off. Many of the mobile operators travel the state in unique vehicles, further promoting the activity amongst the local communities. Below are just a few of the vehicles seen on Florida highways during the 2002 running of the Florida QSO Party. |
